This tour across Vietnam and Cambodia presents a blend of historic cities, cultural landmarks, river landscapes, and ancient temple complexes. The program begins in Ho Chi Minh City, known for its busy streets, colonial buildings, and important historic sites. From there, the route continues to the Mekong Delta, where daily life revolves around rivers and canals.

The trip then moves into Cambodia with time in Phnom Penh, a city that reflects both royal heritage and significant moments in the nation’s history. The final stop is Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor temple complex, where centuries-old structures stand as reminders of the Khmer Empire.

Across the program, visitors experience historic sites, local markets, rural landscapes, and cultural performances that reflect the traditions of both countries.

Tour Plan

Day 1

Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City – Historic Landmarks

Depart from Cochin International Airport on a flight via Singapore and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, often called Saigon. After completing immigration formalities at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, proceed into the city.

Following lunch, visit several important landmarks. Stop at the historic Reunification Palace and view the architectural design of the Notre-Dame Basilica. Continue to the Central Post Office, created during the French colonial period and designed by Gustave Eiffel.

Later, visit the War Remnants Museum, where exhibits present accounts from the Vietnam War. After dinner, transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest.

Day 2

Mekong Delta – River Life and Local Traditions

After breakfast, travel toward the Mekong Delta, a region known for fertile land and river-based communities.

Upon arrival, board a traditional wooden boat and move along the waterways while observing daily life along the riverbanks. Visit a family-run coconut candy workshop and continue to a bee farm where honey tea is served.

A short ride in a hand-rowed sampan passes through narrow canals lined with coconut trees. Lunch features regional dishes, including the well-known elephant-ear fish.

Later in the afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City and spend time at Ben Thanh Market, where local products and souvenirs are available.

During the evening, enjoy dinner aboard a cruise along the Saigon River before returning to the hotel.

Day 3

Cu Chi Tunnels and Travel to Phnom Penh

After breakfast, travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels. This underground network was built during the war and served as living quarters, supply routes, and defensive passages. Visitors can walk through certain sections and learn about life within the tunnels.

Later in the day, continue toward Cambodia by road. The route passes through rural landscapes before reaching the Moc Bai border crossing. After completing immigration procedures, proceed toward Phnom Penh.

Arrival takes place in the evening, followed by transfer to the hotel.

Day 4

Phnom Penh – History and Royal Heritage

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by visits connected to Cambodia’s modern history. The first stop is the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, which documents events during the Khmer Rouge period. Continue to the Choeung Ek Killing Fields, another historic site linked to this chapter of the country’s past.

Later in the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace, the residence of the Cambodian king. Nearby stands the Silver Pagoda, known for its decorative design and historic artifacts.

The day concludes with time at Central Market, a well-known landmark where visitors can observe daily trade and local goods.

Return to the hotel during the evening.

Day 5

Travel to Siem Reap – Countryside and Local Communities

After breakfast, depart Phnom Penh and travel by road to Siem Reap. The drive passes through villages and agricultural areas.

Along the way, stop at Skuon Spider Market, known for its unusual food stalls. Another stop takes place at Spean Kompong Kdei, an ancient bridge from the Angkor period that still stands today.

Continue to Kompong Khleang, a floating settlement near Tonlé Sap Lake where houses stand on tall stilts and daily life is closely tied to the water.

Arrival in Siem Reap takes place later in the day. During the evening, attend a traditional Apsara dance performance followed by dinner.

Day 6

Angkor Temple Complex

After breakfast, visit the Angkor temple complex, one of Southeast Asia’s most important historic sites.

Enter Angkor Thom through the South Gate and continue to Bayon Temple, known for its large stone faces carved into the towers.

The next stop is Ta Prohm, where large tree roots spread across ancient temple structures, creating a striking view of nature and architecture together.

Later in the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the complex and a major symbol of Cambodia. Walk through its corridors and view the detailed carvings that cover the temple walls.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

Siem Reap – Departure
